A Family Affair
Popcorn has been part of Stacey and Greg's life since they met. The establishment of Kettle of Corn LLC personifies their passion for popcorn and growing as a couple making their way in the world. We aim to bring delicious treats and smiles to our guests
The inspiration for Kettle of Corn, stems from Stacey's roots growing up on a 160 acre farm in Southern Indiana with her family. Making ends meet as a small farm was tough. To supplement the income, the Family started a business making ground corn meal and flour using the crops grown in the field and an antique grist mill. The work was hard and the profits low. One day at a local antique festival they set-up next to a kettle corn booth. The owners of the two neighboring booths quickly became friends. Resulting in jokes about the family working too hard and eventually a deal was made to share the knowledge of building a Kettle Corn business Including custom welding the iron kettle and creating a large copper kettle.
This event led to the establishment of Maw and Paw Kettle Corn and a 25 year journey, traveling the state of Indiana selling locally sourced kettle corn at festivals and farmer markets. Popping tons and tons of popcorn, meeting amazing people, and growing as a family.
Fast forward to Stacey and Greg meeting. It wasnt long after they met that Stacey brought Greg along to help her and her family at a farmers market. Greg impressed the family by quickly perfecting popping batches of snowy white Kettle Corn (it isnt easy folks), the rest is history. Greg and Stacey soon decided to join the journey by launching Kettle of Corn LLC located in Cincinnati Ohio.
